The Next JSON Toolbox

About NextJSON

Who runs this site

NextJSON is an independent project built and maintained by Wesley, a software developer. It is not affiliated with any company. Wesley writes the code, decides what tools to add, and reads every message sent through the Contact page.

You can find Wesley on GitHub and follow NextJSON on X (Twitter).

Why NextJSON exists

It started with log files. Application logs often contain JSON that has been escaped and stored as a string inside other JSON, sometimes several levels deep. Regular JSON formatters only decode one level, so reading those logs meant unescaping strings by hand. The Nested JSON Parser was built to do that in one click.

Since then, NextJSON has grown into a small set of focused tools for everyday JSON work. Each one does one job, loads fast, and works without an account:

How your data is handled

  • Your JSON stays in your browser. Every tool runs locally with JavaScript. The JSON you paste or open is never uploaded to or stored on our servers.
  • No account, no sign-up. We don't ask for or keep any personal information to use the tools.
  • Ads keep the site free. NextJSON shows ads from Google AdSense. Google may use cookies to show and measure ads, and you can turn off personalized ads in Google Ad Settings.
  • Cookie-free analytics. We use Umami to count page views. It doesn't use cookies or collect personal information, and it never sees your JSON.

The full details are in our Privacy Policy and Terms of Service.
